Cub Scouts: Communicator (Computer)

We were going to do something AWESOME today for scouts that involved compasses and a "treasure" box full of water balloons for a massive water balloon fight. Aaron and I were so excited but...then it was cold and rainy all day. Boo.

Aaron decided that we would work on the Communicator pin inside. Which means he pulled out the computer that he built himself and brought it to the church building.

Oh, we also got a new boy today...which should be awesome!! We have 5 now!!

Anyway, Aaron is CAPTIVATING when he talks about computers (I'm not even being sarcastic). He really knows how to talk to boys too. They got to stick their hands into Aaron's computer and poke at the wires and the fans.

They were amazed that Aaron built this computer and they LOVED it when he started talking about video games and how he put this awesome system in his computer. They wanted to know all the games that Aaron plays (which are luckily pretty PG rated...it sounds like the boys play more...gruesome stuff than Aaron).

Then they got to make up a secret code and we talked about codes for awhile.

I think that it was a pretty successful day at scouts even if we were stuck inside. In two weeks we will have the "treasure hunt" and it will be amazing so...stay tuned.
