August 11th was the wedding of one of "My Young Women". I call them that because I was a Laurel when they were in Young Womens and as Laurel President, I felt like it was my job to love them...which was easy because they were such lovable girls. I wish that when I went off to college that I could have remained in better contact with them because they are amazing.
Anyway, Ariel was married on August 11th in the Oquirrah Mountain Temple. It was a beautiful day and as always with a Bangkok wedding, there were tons of my "family" there to catch up with.
This is Rachel giving Ariel a huge hug! I got a similar picture earlier this year of Ariel at Rachel's wedding. Two gorgeous married women now!
Rachel, Ariel's two sisters, Adele and Alaina, and the biggest surprise of all, Pipuni all the way from Canada! I haven't seen her since I left Thailand 5 years ago and when I came up to the temple, I saw her sitting outside and thought, "That looks a lot like Pipuni...I wish that she was here." Then I got closer and freaked out because it really was Pipuni!!!
Majken was across an ocean but we couldn't have a party without her! Natalya's boyfriend (now fiancee) printed her out at world and brought her to join in the fun!
The gorgeous couple enjoying a smooch!
I love seeing my friends/family so happy on their wedding days. LOVE IT.
After all of the picture taking, we had a luncheon that the grooms family was gracious enough to let us enjoy with them. We just wanted to eat in the same restaurant but the grooms father was appalled that we weren't eating their luncheon buffet...so we dug in and tried to make it worth his money.
Then we went to help out with setting up for the reception at the Poulson's house.
And play video games....you know...once all of the major work was done. Also...this might be the only picture of Aaron that I took the whole day...so enjoy.
Then once the party started...it really started. We definitely know how to celebrate a marriage.
Pipuni's whole family came down for the wedding! It was such a blessing to get to see them all. Our families spent a lot of time together and I felt so bad that more of my family couldn't be there to enjoy it!
A sweet sleepy Nielson baby resting on Daddy.
Then the food started....and man were those crepes good. Just ask Alaina.
The bride was even growling for some food PRONTO!
Cutting the cake!
I sure do love weddings with these people! It is going to be pretty sad when we run out of weddings to go to when everyone is already happily paired off. They have been wonderful excuses to get together on a regular basis.
